Toronto’s First Anonymous Art Show – Year Two, AFC’s dynamic and fun-filled showcase of original art, opens Thursday, December 1, 2016 at AFC Place. This group exhibition and fundraising event runs all weekend and will feature original artwork from established as well as emerging artists, including  AFC workshop participants.

Hundreds of donated paintings representing diverse styles and subject matter will be on sale, each priced at $100 (cash only) with the entire proceeds going to AFC programs. Anonymous Art Show Co-chair Dr Wendy Brown is excited to build on last year’s enthusiastic public response. “Everyone who attended, as well as the artists themselves, had such a great time. It’s like an adult version of the popular kids’ game, Guess Who,” Brown said.

“The artist of each painting remains a mystery until after the purchase,” continues Co-chair Angela Smith. “As soon as a piece is sold, it is moved from the exhibition into the hands of the purchaser and we have the big reveal! A ‘sold’ tag, showing the artist’s name and photo, replaces the painting.”

The 2016 Anonymous Art Show runs December 1 – 4 at AFC Place, 1884 Davenport Road, Toronto and admission is free.
