Our History

The creation of the ART for Cancer Foundation, a non profit, charitable organization, represents the next step on a journey our founder, Cid Palacio has been on for the past 3 years. Cid lost both her parents to cancer.

She discovered that self-expression through painting provided a means of relaxation and an escape particularly during the stressful months where she was caring for her loved ones at home, while they were battling cancer.

As she continued to paint, she began selling her paintings to family and friends, and donating her sales to cancer charity.

She then went on to encourage other artists to also donate to cancer charity. The ART for Cancer Group which today features over 300 artists from over 30 countries is the result of this earlier effort. Refer (www.artforcancergroup.com)

The ART for Cancer Foundation is committed to improving the quality of life
of people living with cancer by providing an outlet for creative expression
through the arts.
